In competitive combat, the match opens with the marshal announcing, “Lay On!” And with this gang of double entendre loving folks, I think that’s the best way to get the party started. Will the first actual party-goer tomorrow morning please announce “Lay On!” so we know it’s the party now and not the set-up crew. (I suspect someone on the east coast will have to do this.)
For some reason you seem to apply to women of all ages, which could either be a curse or a blessing. I guess it all depends on how you can handle it. Apart from your obvious good looks we all do really adore you because WE HAVE ENJOYED YOUR PORTRAYAL OF HENRY. *sigh* I never got a party for my birthday. Not even a virtual one. No balloons, no cake, no icecream, no icecream cake, no card, no happy birthday from co-workers…it’s like I didn’t even exist. I hit the big 3-0 this past May, and I didn’t get anything. Birthday’s still make me a bit bitter after that…so at least some people get to have fun.

Melanie did great and they all had a great time and Cedar Point. She came home exhausted and fell asleep on the couch. I had to wake her up to send her to bed when I turned in at midnight.
I have some bad news though as much as I want to I probably won’t make it to the chat tonight The band is playing at their first game tonight in Youngstown. The Hubby and I are going to show out support. It’s an hour and a half drive so I don’t think I’ll make it back in time. Bummer.

BTW my Mom, Dad, and I were talking last night about the state of N.O. and how bad things are and I told them if things didn’t get better soon and biz’ doesn’t pick up not that I want to but we may have to move. Her 1st though we could move to New England and open a B&B, I said oh Danielle’s up there so that could be an option 😉 too funny that she’s like OK! Me you’d have to drag me out of here kickin’ and screamin’ , but it may come to that. Maybe Virginia, Shenandoah Valley and Claire, I could move anywhere in this great country of ours and find a BT buddy I can move by 😉 😀
Seriously compared to the rest of the country we have the best weather. We don’t get the hurricanes. The last one I remember was Gloria in the 80’s. Ok we had a few tornados this year. We have no earthquakes. We have few sosstorms and they are far between. The snow is pretty much gone the week later. We have a few weeks of really hot and humid weather and the rest is good.
New England is so beautiful. You are very lucky Dani.I know you don’t hear about it all that much but Ohio is beautiful country too. The weather is a bit more extreme though. We Ohioans come from hardy stock and when we get old we move to Florida.
One of our resident chefs just announced they are making chicken parm and spaghetti and meatballs so I will bring some to all you guys. Yum I love Italian food.
Right out of a movie very picturesque(sp) I’m sure. And then of course there’s California and what I’ve seen beyond LA I loved , but the cost of living’s outrageous and property wow, but once I get my secret money it won’t matter. I did love Alaska but so could not take winter with only 5 hrs of daylight, too depressing. Who knows what will happen, only time will tell.
Danae, I’m serious though when I get my money I’ll call you and tell you when we fly out to Italy to go Villa shopping, actually I’ll be able to take everyone so be ready my girls , it’s coming and we’re taking off to Tuscany !! Magnifico 😀

As most of you have probably noticed, I’m a beer drinking woman. So if you want a beer, check that blue cooler over there. I bought Rogue’s Dead Guy Ale, Black Butte Porter, and the mysterious and weird Rogue Morimoto Soba Ale. Also, Black Watch Porter, Full Sail Ale, and and Maritime Pacific’s Clipper Gold Hefeweizen are on tap. Guinness does come for tap but I’d rather it came from the bottle because that’s a long way for a keg to travel.
I also have many different wines and, believe it or not, two kinds of mead. And both apple and pear cider.
(Yes, I do have all those things in my refrigerator at home…)
And the ice cream is hardening in the freezer under the bar. Please leave it until we’ve all had our healthier food. (BTW, I will not eat broccoli and my name is NOT George HW Bush…)

I’m not sure what all his miracles are. He was born in Slovakia in 1904. He had been very sick as a young man and he promised God if he fully recovered he would devote his life to Him and the Church. He died in 76. I seriously believe he is my guardian angel. I was born 2 years later. That is off the subject though. He became a priest and then a bishop. At the time there was a war. The Nazi’s were persecuting the Catholic faith also. He was put into a concentration camp because he wouldn’t give up his religion and do what they wanted and he was very badly treated. My mom’s grandmother sent him money and he would use it for the other prisoners. He became very sick in captivity so they released him. They didn’t want the death of a bishop on there heads. After he died he wasn’t buried. He was just put in a box and put in the basement of the church because they were afraid the Nazi’s would desecrate his grave. They didn’t want that. Years later he was removed from the basement and they were going to put him in a coffin and they discovered that his body was perfectly preserved. There was absolutely no decay. That is his first miracle. I know that there has to be a certain number of years between become Blessed and Sainthood but neither me or my mother are sure how many or exactly how many miracle there needs to be. His name is Blessed Bishop Vasil Hopko, Martyr. A martyr is someone who chooses to suffer death rather then renounce their religion.

Books on the occult, books on medieval history, books on natural healing, books on archaeology, inexplicably several accounting books, a collection of science fiction books, the complete Darkover series (including the ones after MZB passed), a lot of books on politics (sorry!) and several of today’s papers from various places around the world. (Usually those are cyber-papers but for the party I got the paper editions. Ask me which ones you might want and I’ll see if I have it.)

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, I MISSED TANYA. Wouldn’t you know.
I need to share something with you all thats not birthday related but by 360 degrees maybe to Kyle since he likes to skateboard.
Years ago I suggested to my boss, the City Manager, of a small town that we build a skateboard park for kids who don’t do organized sports. Well, as you know everything in government runs slow. I told him my son would be married with kids by the time it happened. Well, not quite, but he’s pretty much grown and now lives in NC.
Botton line is we’re having the ribbon cutting the first week of September. I approached a local skateboard shop and got them to donate a board which as you know if you have kids who skateboard is not cheap. Most of them go for about $150 and when I asked the guy to donate it he didn’t hesitate. My son had skated on his shops team in the past. The team he has now will be doing demos at the Grand Opening. I was soooo stoked at getting that accomplished only to learn I missed Tanya’s visit.
But at least any day now is better than never hearing anything. Lets cross our fingers.
Paul wa late and I was rady to smack him! but when he showed up someone was with him – the appointment that had made him late – the guy rode down the elevator with us and then kept talking and I’m like “HELLO!” so finnally Paul says we have to go…
so how do you know you are talking too much at lunch? our companion has fished his salad and sandwich and has started on your chips and you haven’t even finished half of your sandwich! yep he was done and I just kept talking…..part of the converstaion was he asked what I would do if I won the Mega Millions lottery – I said quit work and write full time!
After lunch he asked if we could stop at the mini mart – he bought me a lottery ticket!!!!!
other highlights – this week I saw him leaving work at lunch time and picked on him about escaping early – he said no he had spent the night at the office – so today I asked him if he was joking with me – and he said no….ok ladies hold your hats – I said “You know I should give you my phone number, I only live 30 minutes away and I have a bed you would be more than welcome to use” OMG!!!! the words were out of my mouth before my brain kicked in! he was blushing up to his ears!!!
I asked him out to dinner and said that if he was a “good boy” I would even treat for a movie….I told him it maybe the last time I get to see him….

Great new Margaret!!! I know that the few skate parks where I live were fought for. Some kids just aren’t into sports, but they still need something safe and productive to do after school. We have a horrible gang problem here, every little thing that keeps these kids out of the gangs and away from drugs is good.

they put a skate park in near here – it busy all the time but were are still having problems with some groups of kids skatboardin gin the shopping center becase the park “has too many rules” – do they realize it took 5 years to get that park and they don’t want to use it becasue they have to wear a helmaet! recently we had a competion hosted there!
i am indulging in gourmet chocolate coverd pretzels! so that I get in the party mood!

Direct the potluck items to the proper places on the table, make sure the plates and glasses and cutlery are set out, sharpen the short sword… Oh, sorry, did I mention that too early? I’ve invited some rapier experts to give demonstrations, and they said they might be able to bring their entire arsenal to display. (I’ll post links. Really I will.)
In competitive combat, the match opens with the marshal announcing, “Lay On!” And with this gang of double entendre loving folks, I think that’s the best way to get the party started. Will the first actual party-goer tomorrow morning please announce “Lay On!” so we know it’s the party now and not the set-up crew. (I suspect someone on the east coast will have to do this.)

For some reason you seem to apply to women of all ages, which could either be a curse or a blessing. I guess it all depends on how you can handle it. Apart from your obvious good looks we all do really adore you because WE HAVE ENJOYED YOUR PORTRAYAL OF HENRY. It doesn’t take much on our parts to believe that you are actually Henry Fitzroy, you have him dead on. Melanie did great and they all had a great time and Cedar Point. She came home exhausted and fell asleep on the couch. I had to wake her up to send her to bed when I turned in at midnight.
I have some bad news though as much as I want to I probably won’t make it to the chat tonight The band is playing at their first game tonight in Youngstown. The Hubby and I are going to show out support. It’s an hour and a half drive so I don’t think I’ll make it back in time. Bummer.

Seriously compared to the rest of the country we have the best weather. We don’t get the hurricanes. The last one I remember was Gloria in the 80’s. Ok we had a few tornados this year. We have no earthquakes. We have few sosstorms and they are far between. The snow is pretty much gone the week later. We have a few weeks of really hot and humid weather and the rest is good.

Right out of a movie very picturesque(sp) I’m sure. And then of course there’s California and what I’ve seen beyond LA I loved , but the cost of living’s outrageous and property wow, but once I get my secret money it won’t matter. I did love Alaska but so could not take winter with only 5 hrs of daylight, too depressing. Who knows what will happen, only time will tell.

As most of you have probably noticed, I’m a beer drinking woman. So if you want a beer, check that blue cooler over there. I bought Rogue’s Dead Guy Ale, Black Butte Porter, and the mysterious and weird Rogue Morimoto Soba Ale. Also, Black Watch Porter, Full Sail Ale, and and Maritime Pacific’s Clipper Gold Hefeweizen are on tap. Guinness does come for tap but I’d rather it came from the bottle because that’s a long way for a keg to travel.
I also have many different wines and, believe it or not, two kinds of mead. And both apple and pear cider.
(Yes, I do have all those things in my refrigerator at home…)
And the ice cream is hardening in the freezer under the bar. Please leave it until we’ve all had our healthier food. (BTW, I will not eat broccoli and my name is NOT George HW Bush…)

I’m not sure what all his miracles are. He was born in Slovakia in 1904. He had been very sick as a young man and he promised God if he fully recovered he would devote his life to Him and the Church. He died in 76. I seriously believe he is my guardian angel. I was born 2 years later. That is off the subject though. He became a priest and then a bishop. At the time there was a war. The Nazi’s were persecuting the Catholic faith also. He was put into a concentration camp because he wouldn’t give up his religion and do what they wanted and he was very badly treated. My mom’s grandmother sent him money and he would use it for the other prisoners. He became very sick in captivity so they released him. They didn’t want the death of a bishop on there heads. After he died he wasn’t buried. He was just put in a box and put in the basement of the church because they were afraid the Nazi’s would desecrate his grave. They didn’t want that. Years later he was removed from the basement and they were going to put him in a coffin and they discovered that his body was perfectly preserved. There was absolutely no decay. That is his first miracle. I know that there has to be a certain number of years between become Blessed and Sainthood but neither me or my mother are sure how many or exactly how many miracle there needs to be. His name is Blessed Bishop Vasil Hopko, Martyr. A martyr is someone who chooses to suffer death rather then renounce their religion.

Books on the occult, books on medieval history, books on natural healing, books on archaeology, inexplicably several accounting books, a collection of science fiction books, the complete Darkover series (including the ones after MZB passed), a lot of books on politics (sorry!) and several of today’s papers from various places around the world. (Usually those are cyber-papers but for the party I got the paper editions. Ask me which ones you might want and I’ll see if I have it.)

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, I MISSED TANYA. Wouldn’t you know.
I need to share something with you all thats not birthday related but by 360 degrees maybe to Kyle since he likes to skateboard.
Years ago I suggested to my boss, the City Manager, of a small town that we build a skateboard park for kids who don’t do organized sports. Well, as you know everything in government runs slow. I told him my son would be married with kids by the time it happened. Well, not quite, but he’s pretty much grown and now lives in NC.
Botton line is we’re having the ribbon cutting the first week of September. I approached a local skateboard shop and got them to donate a board which as you know if you have kids who skateboard is not cheap. Most of them go for about $150 and when I asked the guy to donate it he didn’t hesitate. My son had skated on his shops team in the past. The team he has now will be doing demos at the Grand Opening. I was soooo stoked at getting that accomplished only to learn I missed Tanya’s visit.
But at least any day now is better than never hearing anything. Lets cross our fingers.
Anyhow, I had to share with my sistas….

ok I’ll tell you about lunch…
Paul wa late and I was rady to smack him! but when he showed up someone was with him – the appointment that had made him late – the guy rode down the elevator with us and then kept talking and I’m like “HELLO!” so finnally Paul says we have to go…
so how do you know you are talking too much at lunch? our companion has fished his salad and sandwich and has started on your chips and you haven’t even finished half of your sandwich! yep he was done and I just kept talking…..part of the converstaion was he asked what I would do if I won the Mega Millions lottery – I said quit work and write full time!
After lunch he asked if we could stop at the mini mart – he bought me a lottery ticket!!!!!
other highlights – this week I saw him leaving work at lunch time and picked on him about escaping early – he said no he had spent the night at the office – so today I asked him if he was joking with me – and he said no….ok ladies hold your hats – I said “You know I should give you my phone number, I only live 30 minutes away and I have a bed you would be more than welcome to use” OMG!!!! the words were out of my mouth before my brain kicked in! he was blushing up to his ears!!!
I asked him out to dinner and said that if he was a “good boy” I would even treat for a movie….I told him it maybe the last time I get to see him….
response well maybe not if I get a job in the area
resopnse, but if you are living in WV why commute back here?
response, well I maybe able to move back into the house I was renting in November……
SO now I am on a happy high!

Great new Margaret!!! I know that the few skate parks where I live were fought for. Some kids just aren’t into sports, but they still need something safe and productive to do after school. We have a horrible gang problem here, every little thing that keeps these kids out of the gangs and away from drugs is good.

they put a skate park in near here – it busy all the time but were are still having problems with some groups of kids skatboardin gin the shopping center becase the park “has too many rules” – do they realize it took 5 years to get that park and they don’t want to use it becasue they have to wear a helmaet! recently we had a competion hosted there!
i am indulging in gourmet chocolate coverd pretzels! so that I get in the party mood!

I had to work all day, and we’re verbotten from reading or posting to any forums and blog sites at any time of day (break and lunch included). So, this is my first time back .. wow! 255 messages already! talk about busy.. 😉
plus, I had to go shopping and managed to see *my* birthday twin. this is so cool!! So, I shared with her about the show and all of the amazing coincidences, and things that has brought us all together. Hadn’t planned on grocery shopping either, and she got stuck in road traffic, so it was fate that brought us back together tonight. I asked her if her ears were burning, because I was just thinking about her (she laughed). This is so COOL..!

Diz: Thanks for asking about my boy. The test went well. His GERD seems to be clearing up. It wasn’t painful but they took a biopsy while they were in there so that hurts him a bit. Other than that, he’s playing WoW and cursing up a storm as usual so I’m going to assume he’s fine. 😉
