Par-tay! Par-tay!

WTF is Crash the Monkey doing here? Who invited him? Oh, well, yes, I suppose he does belong at this party.

We’re celebrating a year of Blood Ties. Have fun, partake of refreshments, regale us with your happy memories of the last year. I’ll worry about the purty pikkies later.

Here we go! First pic is just a normal macro

And

But this one from Madonna is gonna set the party ROCKIN’!

Oh, how I envy the ladies who got to go to Megacon!

It sounds like a good — nay, a GREAT — time was had by all, and I can’t wait for pictures and all the final details.

The following macro may not be my best but I’ve been battling a really nasty stomach flu (so it’s just as well I’m not at the con…) and this is as good as I can make it. Hopefully I’ll be up and around soon, but in the meantime I can drink yummy horchata and relax in the knowledge that some of my sisters are having an absolute ball.

I know you all think I’ve deserted you

But I haven’t, not really. I tend to wander into worlds far flung and different from one another and sometimes I stick around a while. I’m still lusting after my Blood Ties and loving my Blood Sistahs.

And to prove it, here’s a new macro.

As usual, if something on the blog needs my attention while I’m wandering in other worlds (lately it’s been Cardiff*, but I took a little side trip to London*. Swept through the moons of Rigel* on my way back, and had to stop off in Philadelphia* because without cheesesteak there is no life…) you can email me directly at ms.gyspy@gmail.com or, if it’s REALLY urgent and it’s during the week, have one of the Portland Gang email me at work.

And now, in the immortal words of Tim Gunn…

Carry on!

I just couldn’t resist making this one

Yeah, yeah, I’m a vinx, I know I’m not supposed to be drooling all over Henry but this facial expression begged for the macro. Plus, I may not drool over him but I can certainly see the appeal.

”Jericho” starts up again tonight, and it gives me such hope. If CBS could find a way to bring back “Jericho,” there MUST be a home somewhere in U.S. television for “Blood Ties.” I think that’s my new mantra: As Jericho, so Blood Ties.

Well, maybe not QUITE that. But similar.

Sorry! I blame the popcorn.

I’ve gotten the lecture.

No spankings. So you can all keep your minds out of THAT gutter.

But I have an EXCUSE! Cuz I discovered this really great new popcorn in snack sized bags and I won’t use my keyboard while my fingers are greasy.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Sorry, all. I’ll try to pay closer attention from now on. (I’ve finished some of my projects so maybe there’ll be time now.)

Well, if you’re gonna discuss American Idol…

I haven’t been feeling sociable lately

Sorry, folks. I go through periods of total non-sociability from time to time. Usually around this time of year, too. Hopefully by the end of the month I’ll be out of the funk.

I have to share a video. Not because of any particular reason but because this video turned me on to H.I.M. way back in the summer and I’ve been enjoying them ever since.

I’ve been doing the odd (some very odd) Bat Macro lately, and in case you hadn’t read it previously, I’ve created a livejournal community for them.  If you have a Livejournal account, you can join in the fun. If you don’t, you can set one up and then never post if you don’t want to. And, please, someone start posting Bat Macros besides me. (And the lovely British lady who posted a ton of them last week.)

Another Friday night and I ain’t got no Blood Ties….

Now THERE’S a song I’d like to hear on the radio! Except for the “ain’t got no Blood Ties” part.

I hope we all have safe and happy New Year celebrations this week, and that all our New Year wishes come true. I’m betting I know what at least one of them is!

I’ve started a community on LiveJournal for the Blood Ties macros or, as I have recently decided to call them, Bat Macros.  I haven’t spiffed it up yet, but if you all would spread the word and post your macros I think it could be great! I’m already a member of the one for Doctor Who and the one for Robin Hood. I think we could be just as funny. And just as popular. You can join it here, provided you already have a LiveJournal account. (If you don’t, it’s easy enough to get one, and even the free ones are full of neat things to do. I made the community a Plus account which means there are ads but they’re not obtrusive and there’s more options available.)

Speaking of Bat Macros, I think I’ve used this one before. But it’s still funny.

It was so funny becasue I wanted this penguin – saw it on a sign in a Hallmark store – but they were sold out. The clerk said they would have them in after the New Year. Imagin my suprise and joy to find him as my SS gift!

gorgeous necklaces with a Mother of Pearl Moon, with some ruby (blood)
tear drops extended past the moon, attached to Gaelic Looking piece
with small horse heads on each side.

Two more, from Nisi

Adding more.

From Claire:

My Secret Santa was Catcornmom! and she rocks!!! Now when I say Goodnight sweet dreams of Kyle and Henry..I am literally in bed with them LOL!! cause my Secret Santa made me the most amazing pillow cases!!
I also got an amazing blood stone necklace, which I wore with a black velvet dress Christmas eve and got lots of compliments on it! The other necklace you see in the picture is also beautiful and it says”There is nothing as strong as tenderness and nothing as tender as true strength”
Thank you Catcornmom!!!!!

And from Madonna

Oops! Almost missed one. From the lovely Dani.

New one, just in, from Catcornmom. I have to say, I adore those dogs almost as much as I do her new bling!

I’m feeling lost

No new Blood Ties this week. That mini-marathon didn’t do me any good at all.

OTOH, this picture still makes me giggle, even this long after the episode aired.

And since I can’t leave the Hens without their Henry macros
